Father's Day troubles

Dads are so super hard to shop for. You're lucky if your dad has a hobby: golfing, fishing etc etc. That might at least get you to an applicable shop that your dad would enjoy. If you are not so lucky and your dad is just an average guy that likes the average stuff you are in for some troubles.
The problem is that if they want anything they will just go out and buy it for themselves.

I've got an idea that has never really worked out for me personally but I still maintain that it's a good idea to give your dad a memorable family experience rather than another gadget.

Take him to the Raceway if he's into cars, take him out fishing, go for a hike. I bet he'll appreciate the time spent making memories.

On the other hand, this "making memories" approach will work best on older fathers with grown kids that he doesn't get to see quite as often.

If you have a new dad, he probably is still developing his hobbies so there are a lot of gadgets that he wants and can't afford just to go out and buy for himself.
A new dad is also probably up to his eyeballs in screaming kids, carpooling, errands and chores.

The best gift for this dad may be to leave him alone. Let him escape from normal life and hang out with his buddies out in the bush or on the lake.

Just to add a plug for Atlas: we can make shopping easy for you if you have an outdoors man for a Dad. Just come on in and we'll see what we can find for you.
