Customer service

Over the past years, decades, whatever, customer service has changed. Maybe the world was a smaller place and people seem to treat others better if you think you'll see them again. It just seems that the standard in customer service is indifference, minimum effort and lack of interest.
It's so annoying and yet here I am in a position to make a difference with a store that could be renowned for superior care and attention and I'm starting to see why main stream shopping is so full of crappy customer service.
It's a huge amount of work.
I love my store, my customers and the culture that we're creating. Despite all of this it's still hard to give 100% all the time. I can look around at my little shop with a relatively small clientele and I could totally see the need for somebody to be hired to be dedicated 24/7 to customer service.
It might not be feasible right now, but it's probably a stellar idea to have so much emphasis on the potential relationships developing within Atlas Outfitters.
For now I'll just try my best spend as much time as possible in my customer's shoes.

The coffee is on... let the blogging begin

This is the very first post on the Atlas Outfitters blog. I guess my purpose in creating this blog is to let everybody know what’s happing at Atlas and to put out ideas that I’m wondering about and am hoping somebody else will be able to relate to.
Another huge reason is that problems and situations come through the door here that seem to take up my entire day, I get so far immersed in this thing that it blows my mind when somebody comes in and they are not also completely consumed by this topic.
So crazy I know.
I just selfishly, really need to air out all the things that are taking up my brain. Hopefully it’ll get you guys thinking about them and I will no longer be the crazy lady staying up all night thinking about Savage 99 barrels. Well I guess I’ll still be up but maybe you’ll get me a little bit more because of this.
Ps. Maybe I’ll even let Kurt put in a few words as a guest blogger. Then you’ll get some real insight into what makes the Blumenthal Family tick. Scary.
